Remembering Charlie

It seems like yesterday that Charlie and I were best friends. We would always hang out together and go exploring on our walks. It was always exciting to discover new places together and make new friends.

Charlie and I loved to go for rides in the country and end up at some out of the way place for a bite to eat. He was great at that because he loved to try new foods, although sometimes they did not settle too well on the tummy

Charlie was a great cuddler. I'd plop down on the easy chair and he'd immediately come and join me. I'd do all of the talking and he'd be a great listener. He never gave me an arguement either. Sometimes I would wish he would share more with me. You know, it is nice to get another side to the conversation. But, some relationships are like that. Pretty one sided, if you know what I mean.

It was great having a faithful, undemanding friend like Charlie and I know there will never be another like him. He was always there waiting for me whenever Icame home from a day away.

Yes..he was my lovable little grey poodle that I paint into most of my snow scene paintings where children are playing. He was the best little dog and friend.

Thanks for being such a lovable little dog. I miss you.
